Winter

Winter came into our lives carrying a past he never deserved. Rescued from Korea after experiencing abuse and trauma, he arrived scared and unsure of the world. Yet despite everything he went through, he still chose to trust us.

While we are helping Winter heal, he has also been helping my husband. His companionship give my husband comfort, hope, and joy through our daily lives. On difficult days, Winter's presence makes things feel a little lighter.

Watching Winter slowly overcome his fears reminds us that healing takes time, patience, and love. He has taught us that our past doesn't have to define our future.

Winter didn't just find a home in Canada. He found a family-and we found our inspiration.

He survived his past. Now we want to give him the beautiful life he always deserved.

Fun fact: Winter was born in December, which is how he got his name-and we decided to keep his original name when we adopted him.
