Azur has a very secret past: I chose her and "saved" her when she was three years old (supposedly). She was supposedly "found" outside... in Sherbrooke (I live in Quebec City, which is almost an hour away). I was driven there and back one winter day in 2015 (or 2016??). I spent about nine months going through the incredibly sad grief of losing my 18-year-old cat, Carbone, who died from a kidney problem that took her life in just two weeks. I wanted a cat who was like a dog, like her, haha, meaning very present, who would greet me when I came home, talk to me, look me in the eyes, be affectionate, and sleep snuggled up to me all night... A cat who would love me as if I were the only person in the world who truly existed for her... And vice versa. It's intense, I know, I know. We love each other so much. Today, I can say that she's also the one who saves my life every day, just as much as I save hers.
