Qaletaqa is a psychiatric service dog, my best friend, and one of the most important parts of my life. Her name is a Native American Hopi name meaning “guardian of the people,” and it couldn't be more perfect for her.
She is incredibly protective of me and the people she considers family. She always seems to know when I need her, and she has helped me through so much in ways I could never fully put into words.
But behind that protective nature is the sweetest, goofiest dog. She makes me laugh, keeps me company, and brings so much happiness into my life. She isn't just my service dog—she is my best friend, my constant companion, and my little guardian.
She has a huge heart, a goofy personality, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loves.
