Mischa showed up on my patio in the pouring rain when he was approx. 6 weeks old. I had already reached the number of pets that were allowed in my apartment complex so, I brought him to the leasing office. They asked if I could hold onto him until his owner showed up. Not knowing his history, I had to take him to the vet and get him his shots before placing him with my other animals. Every day I checked with the office to see if they had heard anything. 5 months later it was time to get him neutered and by now, he was family. Thankfully, the leasing office said to just keep him but, every time there was a change in the staff, I had to fight to keep him. Finally, after 14 years of doing battle, the management company made note of him in their records.
