Remi

Remi is my service dog and my lifeline. She is trained to recognize medical and neurological changes, alert to episodes , and ground me during, dissociation, and dangerous episodes. When my body or mind cannot protect me, Remi steps in creating safety, keeping me oriented, and staying with me until I am stable again. There have been moments when I could not speak or advocate for myself, and Remi became my protection and my voice. Because of her training, intuition, and unwavering devotion, situations that could have been life-threatening were not. Because of Remi, I have independence, safety, and I am alive today.
