Auggie 2
Auggie is an old soul! He’s an adorable Cockapoo smoothie. Every one loves his red coat, spiked hairdo, those brown eyes that stare deep into your soul. He’s gentle and kind natured.
Potty training Auggie was difficult. Mom has Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy. Home care staff come in and out of our home 5 times per day! Spaniels are known for peeing when excited. In order to avoid several puddles of pee in a day, we trained Auggie to get a stuffed toy when workers arrive. This helped focus on the task hand and less about the emotional response.
With multiple PSWs, Auggie had many pee accidents. Today there are no pee puddles at the front door, however he still runs to find one of his stuffies, puts it in his mouth to greet every staff arriving!
