Miles is... truly a miracle. He has been my little buddy since I adopted him from a Shih Tzu rescue at 4 months old. I took Miles everywhere with me. The little dog with the big dog heart. He swam in the river, hiked the trails, and wrestled with the big dogs.
in 2023 Miles became very ill. He had gotten Blastomycosis. It was midnight on a Saturday when I drove over 2 hrs to the emergency vet. They didn't expect him to make it through the night. But here's the thing... Miles rallied. 10 days at the UWM veterinary hospital and months of meds and cuddles... and against ALL ODDS Miles has made a FULL RECOVERY. The survival rate of Blasto in dogs whose lungs were as full as Miles' is so small... but he beat it! And now he's 8 yrs old and living the same big life! Truly a little, happy, fluffy miracle.
